CVI Corporation is a specialized manufacturer of viscometers. CVI has developed numerous products to accommodate various applications. The measurement principle is based on a falling body method, where a piston moves within a cylinder, and the time taken to move is measured as viscosity by sequentially energizing two coils. The fluid is drawn into and expelled from the cylinder by the movement of this piston. As a result, the cylinder, which serves as the measurement chamber, is constantly refreshed with fluid, maintaining a fresh state. For laboratory use, we offer a small-volume viscometer that requires only 2ml of sample volume, as well as instruments capable of measuring the viscosity of a wide range of fluids up to temperatures of 185°C and pressures of 131MPa. In addition to laboratory models, CVI also manufactures a variety of process models using the same measurement principle, facilitating future expansion into process applications.
